Firethorn's Den

Sonnet #20 Parody: Barbie

A woman's face in plastic hand painted
Hast thou, my idol I forever adore;
A woman's touch, not just the faulty scented
Stylish hair, more than men ever ask for;
An eye more bright than a star in the sky,
Bewitching the soul whereupon it gazeth;
Even handsome Ken in all his watchful eye,
Stumbles into a trance while thee amazeth.
And for other women thou leave them behind;
Till Nature, thou imagine, gifteth a-doting,
And by addition me, thy heart doth shine,
Thou art in demand for everyone's a-wanting.
But since Ken prick'd thee out for his pleasure,
Mine be thy love, and so thou art my treasure.
