Arnold Schwarzenegger for governor? I love that guy, the iron man- tough, lean and mean. Not sure if he has what it takes to govern California, though. Then again, considering California consists of only two cities, Los Angeles and San Francisco, oh, all right, and San Diego (I think God threw that city in just so we Zonies would have a place to go in summer besides lake Powell,) he just might manage to win, after all, people over there love his movies, right? I can just see it now, Gov. Schwarzenegger who supports gun control, abortion rights and gay adoption, waving to passerby on Hollywood Boulevard. What a landmark (pun intended) on our modern politics!
Hmm, all this talk about recalls kind of took me back to the eras of Mecham and Symington, impeached and indicted, in that order, right here in Arizona. It made me realize we are not at all free from sins and scandals. In fact, we are very much rival in this sort of things, but I must say we pale in comparison, the way California is showing us how the west was won (er... by Hollywood?)
